Griffin Jax will have his hands full no doubt against the best offense in baseball tonight but I think Jax can hold his own. In his first MLB start he got knocked around vs the Royals, maybe chalk it up to nerves. He settled in his last two starts, allowing 2 earned runs, 8/3 K/BB ratio in 9 innings of work. Note, all three of his starts have gone Under inflated totals. From what little I’ve seen of him he has a pretty decent fastball/change. He is a tough kid, former military, and in three starts has 16.6, 17.6, 17 pitches per inning average.

Framber Valdez I think is catching the Twins at the right time. The southpaw has just under 60% quality starts in all of his appearances this year. Why I think he’s catching the Twins at the right time is they are struggling vs. southpaws of late. Minnesota is batting just .184 in their last 10 games vs lefties. He should keep their line up in check tonight.

I know the Twins bullpen is a mess right now and anything can happen when they enter the game but I still feel this game stays Under this Total which is set inflated. Jax and Valdez should set the tone and we cash an Under here.
